“Music does a lot of things for a lot of people. It’s transporting, for sure. It can take you right back, years back, to the very moment certain things happened in your life. It’s uplifting, it’s encouraging, it’s strengthening.” — Aretha Franklin

Near my house at the time, there was this baseball field and I use to go stand in it when I was depressed, usually in the dead of winter, at night, and usually with headphones on. So I wrote this song with the intention of listening to it when I went out there.

I like the way this track’s chords are in a pattern of three, it always made it sound eerie and unfinished, but in an interesting way. I also sampled my electric organ for this track. One of its presets appears around halfway through.

The only version of this that remains; the album version. It escaped the 2006 remaster as I had lost the source files.
