This is a song that has continually been on the cusp of being completed. It is a very straightforward club/dance track with lyrics. The whole thing reminds me of early Pet Shop Boys, a recurring theme in my writing. I wrote this about a former FWB partner whom I saw for a few years, who then abruptly ended the whole thing by showing up at a party with a new guy without any further explanation. My thoughts at the time were a mixture of feeling betrayed somehow, with confusion about whether I had misinterpreted our entire relationship.
There is a completed instrumental demo of this, which is unreleased. Lyrics were also written at the time, but have never been recorded, and I have since lost them, so they are in the process of being reconceived.
