Talking Heads
I was always a big fan of this track, especially the weird video that they made for it in the 80s. Talking Heads weren’t really known for their 12″ mixes (as far as I can tell), so I decided to pay homage to it by creating one that sounded like it could have been done when the song first came out. I decreased the tempo of the kick drum which was playing on every quarter note and that made it more dance-able. And I focused on the synthesizer bits which really make the track and brought them to the front of the mix.
