“Music does a lot of things for a lot of people. It’s transporting, for sure. It can take you right back, years back, to the very moment certain things happened in your life. It’s uplifting, it’s encouraging, it’s strengthening.” — Aretha Franklin

This has always been a throwaway track for me. In fact whenever I listen to the album, I am apt to skip this one. But when I remastered it, I breathed new life into it for the dub, and it’s not so bad now.

I’m not entirely certain, but the chord progression on this might have been based on some of my early writings.

The title comes from a conversation I had a friend about the constraints of being too intelligent. I was too stupid to know what he meant, so I just titled the song after a phrase that was uttered during the exchange.
