Quadrads was composed around the same time as Nightgames (the early 90s), but at the time, it didn’t have any title. It was just a simple chord progression that I liked, but couldn’t write anything else to go with it. From time to time over the years, I would try to flesh it out and it took on a number of different styles, until I hit on a particular style that I wanted to go with around the middle of 2024. It works for me as a simple instrumental fanfare as the opener to the second Key album, Slash.
