The original 1981 single had a 12&#8243; mix which was more like a dub &#8212; virtually no vocals at all, quite disappointing, actually, and I found the overall mix to be rather flat. So with this, I wanted to beef up the synths that made Human League&#8217;s signature and added some spatial effects to give the mix some breathing room. The point of this mix was to create a companion to the &#8216;dub&#8217; version which might have been released in 1981.
