“Music does a lot of things for a lot of people. It’s transporting, for sure. It can take you right back, years back, to the very moment certain things happened in your life. It’s uplifting, it’s encouraging, it’s strengthening.” — Aretha Franklin

This is another song that was written in the 80’s and then brought forward. I remembered this song in a flash one afternoon at the recording studio I was working at, when we were all messing around with a pellet gun and someone accidentally got shot in the leg and got really pissed off. He stormed off, and when we tried to apologize, he said, “Don’t bother,” and disappeared for the rest of the day. A few minutes later, I sat down at the piano and played this song, remembering it from when I wrote it down the first time. It was thusly named on my friend’s outburst. The drum and bass elements were not part of the original idea, but I think it worked.
